Cooperstown Summer Music Festival: Sinatra at 100
Saxophonist Loren Schoenberg, tenor sax; Jon-Erik Kellso, trumpet; John di Martino, piano; Michael Karn, bass; and Aaron Kimmel, drums present an instrumental tribute to "Ol' Blue Eyes."
There were many different Frank Sinatras - singer, movie star, Rat-Packer, tough guy - but at the root of all of his various manifestations is the fact that he was a superb musician.
Join Loren Schoenberg and a hand-selected jazz quintet as they explore a wide range of Sinatra songs, from the well-known to the obscure. Most Sinatra tributes showcase singers who through no fault of their own suffer by comparison. This evening of instrumental, melodic and swinging jazz will compliment your Sinatra collection in the best way possible.
Tickets will be on sale at the door, beginning at 6:45 pm.
