JOE & MARILYN: A Love Story
The volatile relationship between baseball great Joe DiMaggio and Hollywood super-star Marilyn Monroe is the subject of JOE & MARILYN: A Love Story.
The passion-filled two-character play by Willard Manus offers insight into a famously tragic romance, an unforgettable love story for the ages.
Although their marriage lasted only nine months, DiMaggio and Monroe remained devoted to each other until the latters death in 1962. From that time on, DiMaggio had half a dozen roses delivered three times a week to her Westwood gravesite.
JOE & MARILYN was developed at the Actors Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit (West Coast), where Manus and Castronovo are fellow-members
