Tidal

An evening of dance and live music developed by Portland dancer/musician Danielle Elizabeth. The show includes 10 new works that play out as a cohesive whole, collaboratively created by the cast, set to an original score by multi-instrumentalist Paul Evans, inspired by the Tidesof the ocean and ourselves. The show, set mainly in contemporary dance theater style, will feature solos and group pieces, vocal and percussive arrangements for the dancers, all with hints of dreamy aquatic melodies and odd-meters. The music will be performed live by a trio of multi-instrumentalists, creating unexpected seascapes of piano, percussion, clarinet, sax, flute, guitar, and other strings.
