Roots and Vines Festival
The Yakima Roots & Vines Festival will feature two separate stages packed with high-quality, non-stop music. The Travelin McCourys will headline the event. The lineup of performers will also include Rabbit Wilde, a four-member indie-folk stomp band from the Pacific Northwest, EmiSunshine, an 11-year-old East Tennessee prodigy who has captured the nations attention as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, The Lil Smokies, a Montana-based quintet that won the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition, and Rust on the Rails, a new project headed by Yakima favorites Cody Beebe and Blake Noble, which regularly features other notable performers from throughout the Northwest.
Also appearing at the festival will be Ellensburg-based Centaur Midwife (Americana folk rock), rising talent Western Centuries, and The Wicks(soul/folk).
Local craft beverage makers that will showcase wine, beer, and spirits at the festival include Bale Breaker Brewing Company, Hop Nation Brewing Company, Yakima Craft Brewing Company, Berchmans Brewing Company, Tieton Cider Works, Naches Heights Vineyard, Gilbert Cellars, Antolin Cellars, Lookout Point Winery, Kana Winery, Wilridge Winery, Swede Hill Distilling, and Glacier Basin Distillery.
Only people 21 years of age or older will be allowed on the festival grounds in the Historic North Front Street District. Free family viewing area will be accessible via North Town Coffee House along with other family friendly activities. The first 1,500 attendees will receive a commemorative beverage glass. Scrip for craft beverages available at the event will be sold at various locations on the festival grounds. Food from a variety of local restaurants will also be on sale during the event.
