The Collected Energy: an introduction to the methodologies of Tadashi Suzuki with Peter Balkwill
A 12 hour introductory workshop on the founding, physical modalities of Suzuki. and its application to the development of a performers Ki energy - a physical connection by the individual as well as the collective gathering of this energy by an ensemble. Tadashi Suzukis can provide alternate understandings to the artist and help define a stronger relationship to their audience, and to the other artists engaged in the same activity.
This workshop is presented as a Workshop-By-Request through Theatre Alberta, and supported by the Alberta Foundation of the Arts.
Requirements for participants:
-Dressed in movement clothes
-Be available for physically robust activities
-Desire to really focus and willing, and positive creative spirit
Dates: April 23rd and 24th
