O'KEEFFE!

Acclaimed actress Carolyn Wickwire will star in the one-woman play O'KEEFFE! by Lucinda McDermott, produced by Marfa Live Arts & Flower and Bone Productions, and directed by Ouida White. This one-night-only performance will be staged Saturday, July 14th, at the Crowley Theater in Marfa at 7pm.

Georgia O'Keeffe iconic & celebrated established herself as one of modern art's most important figures of the 20th century. O'Keeffe spent most of her time between New York and New Mexico, however, in her early years she taught art in West Texas. Come learn about her life, her struggles and her expression in O'KEEFFE! The Dallas Examiner called it "dazzling": "Ms. Wickwire is intriguing, fascinating, complicated, amusing, wry and heartbreaking it's almost as if she's channeling O'Keeffe She inhabits a titanic (though I imagine taciturn) figure like this artist, who stunned viewers and forever changed the face of painting, with grace and radiance."
