The 101010 Project 2016 - Our Idiot Friend is Now Dead (Workshop)
The 10/10/10 Project is a massive experimental project in which 10 emerging writers, 10 emerging choreographers, 9 composers, 5 film-makers and 2 visual artists work together to create a large-scale piece of multidisciplinary theatre without ever talking to each other.

Directed and led by Jordan Laffrenier and incorporating 36 original pieces of sound, text, dance and film, The 2016 10/10/10 Project: Our Idiot Friend is Now Dead  is a workshop production about one ad hoc groups' last attempt to create a show after one of their members (after numerous suicide attempts) drowns himself.

Drawing inspiration from over 40 artists, The 2016 version of the project will attempt to create a play about loneliness, validation, human connection, memory, death and creation

Originally produced at the 2015 Toronto and Hamilton Fringes and praised by critics as a "commendable experiment", an "affecting movement piece" and "visually stimulating and emotionally compelling", the Project returns in 2016 with a new focus on narrative structure and a completely new collective of 30+ artists both established and emerging, including Dora and Chalmers Award winner Guillermo Verdecchia, local indie musician Brooklyn Doran, and award winning choreographer Michael Greyeyes.

The 10/10/10 Project: Our Idiot Friend is Now Dead  is inspired by the idea of imagined community: that even if we do not speak the same artistic language or live in the same space, we can still find hopes, dreams, despairs and inspirations from the work of another who we may never meet. We can communicate without ego, crossing borders through our art.

10/10/10 boasts a cast of both emerging and established artists as well including En Lai Mah (They Say He Fell, Cahoots), Erin Eldershaw (HamletA Puppet Epic, Shakey Shake and Friends), Margaret Rose Kerry, a recent graduate of the Randolph School for the Performing Arts and Harrison Tanner, a recent BFA acting grad from Ryerson Theatre School.

Then They Fight Theatre is a group of underdogs supporting the work of underproduced, underestimated and unexpected theatre artists in Canada. The 10/10/10 Project: Our Idiot Friend is Now Dead is the second show their inaugural season, beginning with comeback comedy, Rowing, which played in October 2015.
