The Anatomy of a Profitable Event
Tired of sparse attendance at your gigs? Want to get more press about your band or performance troupe? Want to sell more advanced tickets? Want to know the best way to set up your ticketing? We're here to help!
In this collaborative presentation/workshop three Brown Paper Tickets' employees with extensive experience in all aspects of event production will discuss techniques that have worked for them in the past and suggest low-cost ways to get the most out of your event.
Topics covered will be:
* Developing a low cost promotional plan for your event. * Creating and maximizing revenue streams from your advanced ticketing. * The most effective ways to set up advanced ticketing through Brown Paper Ticket's system.
After the presentation, the floor will be opened up for questions. Attendees are also encouraged to add their own suggestions and experiences in an effort to collaboratively find the most effective ways to make your event a success.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

About the presenters:
Jimmy Berg Outreach and Sales Representative Jimmy's been involved with DIY production since he booked his first all-ages punk show in 1992. Since then he has been involved in the growing Seattle cabaret scene producing and performing in burlesque, cabaret and music shows at such venues as ACT Theater, Can Can, Columbia City Theater and Showbox in the Market. He is currently the Outreach and Sales Representative for the burlesque, cabaret and steampunk communities worldwide.
Bill Geoghegan Music Doer Bill's mission is to assist independent artists,labels, promoters achieve their next level accomplishments by growing and sharing resources acquired from an ever evolving network and knowledge base. Bill has been performing, recording, and booking music since 1984. His experience includes working on production for shows such as L.L. Cool J, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Third World, plus he's booked and managed several tours around the U.S. and Europe.
Ivan Blanco - Latino Outreach and Box Office Representative Ivan has been in the ticketing business for over 21 years. Over the course of that time he has worked for Ticketmaster, Pacific Northwest Ballet, The Gorge, House of Blues and Seattle Theater Group. Since joining Brown Paper Tickets, Ivan has worked on events throughout the local Brown Paper Tickets community at venues like Town Hall, Meydenbauer Center, Intiman Theater and with the locally produced music-festival Northwest Lovefest.
