Sorry not sorry, but Write A House has poached a gem out of your fine city and is giving her a home, a community, and lifetime of writer's gold in fabulous Detroit. That's right. We at Write A House felt like the real winners when we announced that LA-based journalist, Liana Aghajanian, would be the second recipient of a home that has been lovingly restored just for her. She'll be joining our first writer in "residence", poet and fiction writer Casey Rocheteau, bringing the Write A House head count to a healthy and not-lonely "2".
We'd love for you to come give her the send off she deserves -- a civilized hoopla that includes a discussion with activist, writer, poet, and Write A House board member and judge dream hampton, delicious food, effective drinks, readings and countless hugs & well wishes for Liana. All ticket sales will go to making sure we can do this again, and soon!, by renovating our third home before the year is up.
(There will probably be dancing because it wouldn't be a Detroit party without dancing. Come on.)
