SJ Beerwalk - Japantown
SJ Beerwalk is back for Round 2 Japantown San Jose
Saturday, April 28th, 1 to 5 pm
Bigger. Better. Bolder.
Whether you attended the first, sold out Beerwalk in February or missed out on all the fun, the upcoming SJ Beerwalk in Japantown should not be missed!
Tucked away minutes from Downtown San Jose, sits the charming Japantown business district. Stoll the streets and discover all the unique boutique shops, art studios, and great restaurants you cannot find anywhere else in San Jose. All while sipping on great beers and enjoying the social enthusiasm of shopkeepers and beer lovers, alike.
SJ Beerwalk was created around more than the idea of sampling great beers, but rather to provide the outlet for our community to come together to explore the neighborhoods and small businesses, which help make San Jose the great city it is today.
Bigger. More local craft beers with IPA offerings like Firehouse, Rock Bottom, Strike, Faultline, and Campbell Brewing. More participating businesses and pourers to thin out and speed up lines and fill your glasses faster.
Better. Consistent pours to ensure everyone experiences every beer. More registration locations with full bars and ticket scanning to speed up the check-in process and provide drinks before, during, and after the event. More bathrooms throughout the walk for your convenience.
Bolder. IPA themed, the majority of the beers will be IPAs with a few Japantown favorites, such as Kirin, Napoli, and Primo mixed in.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $30 at Jack's Bar & Lounge or online at www.sjbeerwalk.com. In the case the event does not sell out tickets can be purchased day of for $36. Registration begins at noon (12pm). Event runs from 1 to 5pm. Raffle held at 5:20pm.

Q&A
| Question: |
Hi, is it mandatory to purchase the tix for the beer tastings? Can anyone just attend without purchasing a ticket and purchase beers that they like at the event? |
| Answer: |
Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, you have to purchase a ticket to receive a tasting glass and taste the beers. The majority of the beers on the walk will be available by the bottle at Jack's Bar the day of the event. |

| Question: |
are kids allowed? |
| Answer: |
Thanks for the interest. Yes, kids are fine on the walk. The only business out of the 19 on the walk that kids are not allowed by law is Jack's Bar. Other than that they are good to go anywhere and do not need a ticket. We also provide a parent line pass, which allows one parent to stay with the kids while the other is waiting in line and tasting beer. Once the first has finished the beer inside the other parent can go to the front of the line. Please tell them when checking in that's what you need. Any other questions let us know. |

| Question: |
Would it be a good idea to bring my dog to SJ Beerwalk? Will we be able to have our beers outside in Japantown or will we have to enjoy our beverages at the local stores inside? |
| Answer: |
Thanks for contacting us. All beer must be consumed inside the locations. Dogs are welcome but not recommended. |

| Question: |
Do DD's need to purchase a ticket? Will there be a taxi service? |
| Answer: |
Only participants who wish to drink beer need to purchase tickets. Taxi's are available by calling 408-777-7777. |

| Question: |
Where is the best place to park? |
| Answer: |
Street Parking is recommended on 2nd & 3rd St. and from 6th St. & 9th (5th St. will be blocked off). There is also a paid parking lot on the corner of 6th & Jackson St. We recommend parking close to one of the three check-in locations listed on the website and tickets. See you tomorrow! |
