Be Aggressive
Be Aggressive by Annie Weisman is an edgy and comic social commentary on the lives of today's teenage girls. The play is set in image-obsessed Southern California. The story revolves around cheerleaders Laura and Leslie, they are the two outcasts on the team. After Laura's mother is killed, the teenager is left to care for her precocious little sister and her dependent grieving father. The play takes a darkly comedic turn when the two girls conspire to better themselves by running off to a cheerleading training program with self-help overtones called the Spirit Institute of the South. The storyline in "Be Aggressive" is fully fleshed out. It is polished and creative, the production is energetic and colorful. Just remember everyone...Cheerleading after all, is life itself...We hope to see you there!!
