Danny O'Keefe with Joel Tepp

As a part of the Klallam Earth Day Challenge, on the evening of April 21st, singer-songwriter Danny O'Keefe along with Joel Tepp will be coming to Port Angeles for a show that begins at 8:00.

This is a benefit concert for youth programs at the Feiro Marine Life Center, produced in association with the Guacamole Fund.

With Bob Dylan, Danny co-wrote the environmental movement anthem, "Well Well Well", which has been covered by artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Ben Harper. It will be kind of ironic on to hear him perform this song on Earth Day, and his story on co-writing with Bob Dylan may be worth the price of admission.

O'Keefe's songs have been covered by numerous musicians, including Jackson Browne ("The Road"), Elvis Presley, Judy Collins, Leon Russell, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Jimmy Buffett, Alison Krauss, Ben Harper, Cab Calloway, Mark-Almond, Andy Williams, and others.

Yeah, this is a benefit, and ticket prices are a bit higher than the normal fare. However, given past practice, $20 of your ticket price should be a tax-deductible donation. You may wish to consult with your tax professional for a specific determination.
