The simple beauty of a fresh baked croissant for breakfast is one of the memories we all carry with us well after a visit to France. Join Lucy, a classically trained and certified French pâtissière, as she walks you step by step through the croissant making process, with the opportunity to execute each step yourself, roll and bake your own croissants, pain au chocolate and pain au raisin.
Since croissant making is a multi step process, one that takes hours of time to allow the dough to rest, some steps will have been completed in advance to allow you to progress through the whole croissant making process. This way you can have hands on experience with each step and can leave the class with your own finished pastry.

Located in the ancient silk-worker's district on the hill of the Croix Rousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen is offering seasonal market classes, classic French cooking, children's workshops in English, and single subject ateliers that cover a chosen technique or theme in French cuisine. We accommodate 6-8 students per class. There is plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning in our classes.
