Rare and Well Done, the ultimate whisk(e)y experience by John Howie Steak, is Seattle's most exclusive whiskey tasting event featuring over 100 whiskies from the most impressive array of distillers, and brand ambassadors ever assembled. Including tastes from the following distilleries and many more Buffalo Trace, Laphroaig, Michter's, Blood Oath, Oban, Macallan, Stranahan's, Westland, Highland Park, EH Taylor, Blanton's, Maker's Mark, Glenmorangie, Ardbeg, WhistlePig, Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve, Jack Daniel's, Wild Turkey, Forty Creek, Johnnie Walker, Bushmill's, Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Ezra B, Pendleton, Jameson, GlenlivetJohn Howie Steak will also pour tastes from its own private premium collection of extremely rare and highly allocated spirits, Michter's Toasted Barrel, Charbay Hop Flavor II, WhistlePig Old World,
Jack Daniel's Sinatra Old Forester Birthday 2013, Orphan Barrel's (Barterhouse, Forged Oak, Lost Prophet, Elijah Craig 21yr, Eagle Rare 17yr, Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project, Glenmorangie (Ealanta, Companta, Astar), George T. Stagg, Westland Cask 50 and 313,Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams and Hibiki 12yr just to name a few, many of which are no longer available for purchase outside of the secondary markets.
John Howie Steak executive chef Mark Hipkiss will prepare fine bites that will perfectly pair with the featured whiskies. Smoked salmon bisque, wood fired lamb chops, torchon d' foie gras, American Waygu beef, Dungeness crab stuffed mushrooms, assorted charcuterie, duck breast with orange marmalade, pork tenderloin with black cherry Bourbon jam, Makers Mark Bourbon shakes, assorted chocolate truffles and so much more
Ticket purchasers will all receive a Glencairn keepsake tasting glass, a hand-rolled cigar by San Juan Cigar Company and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Maserati for a weekend.
Additionally, Rare and Well Done will offer a very limited number (maximum 20) of The Ultimate Experience Tickets that will include 1/4 oz. pours (one of each, no substitutions) of the following five most extraordinary, extremely rare and most expensive whiskies in the world. This is a once in a lifetime chance to taste five of the rarest, most incredible whiskies in the world. If you could even find themthe cost would be well over $400, you can add this on for just $250.
Glenfiddich 40 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky released in 2015. John Howie Steak is the only restaurant in Washington state that has one of the 600 bottles released worldwide.
