Prop Thtr presents Drumming in the night by Bertolt Brecht.

This production premieres Prop Thtr's new translation, spearheaded by director Stefan Brun, engaging the poetic sensibility and lush imagery of the original work.

Brecht's first produced play, Drumming in the night sets a family's story against the backdrop of 1919 Berlin-- defeat, collapse, and revolution. Andrew Kragler, a German veteran of WWI, returns home to find his beloved Anna engaged to another man. Amid the riots of the Spartacist Uprising, Anna's family fights to ignore these intrusive forces as Kragler struggles to win Anna back.
