Ballet Tucson "Rhythms of the Americas"
Ballet Tucson and the Tucson Guitar Society partner to present an evening of Latin-inspired music, song, and dance.  In collaboration with the Tucson Desert Song Festival.

Flamenco, Tango, and Bossa Nova style ballet works grace the stage, with choreography by Company Ballet Master Daniel Precup, Assistant Artistic Director Chieko Imada, and Founding Artistic Director Mary Beth Cabana.  The premiere of Daniel Precup's "Mosaico" incorporates guitar, voice, and the vibrancy of Ballet Tucson's talented professional dancers.

Featured guest artists include guitarist Adam del Monte, called by Classical Guitar Magazine "One of the leading flamenco and classical guitarist/composers of his generation."  Conexiones International magazine cites American-born, Venezuela-raised lyric baritone and guest artist Bernardo Bermudez as "A young man...with impressive looks and a powerful voice."

Each season, the company entertains the Tucson community with historic classics as well as innovative contemporary works, offering something for everyone's taste. Ballet Tucson's popularity continues to grow, claiming its place as the premier professional dance company in Tucson and Southern Arizona.  For more information, visit BalletTucson.org.

The mission of the Tucson Desert Song Festival is to provide a world-class experience for music enthusiasts and novices alike of enjoyment, education, and interaction with acclaimed classical voices singing with some of Tucson's leading performing arts groups. Ultimately the mission is to elevate Tucson to a world-class destination for music lovers.  For more information, visit TucsonDesertSongFestival.org.
