Slow Food Chefs Farm Tour- by Bus!
Join your fellow Miami Chef comrades on Tuesday, September 29, aboard the Farm Tour bus- South Florida bound! We'll visit some farms that most of us probably have not been to, eat delicious food by Dewey LoSasso at Redlander, and drink delicious beer at Miami Brewing Co. This is an event not to miss out on! It's rare that chefs can all get together for fun and education, where we don't have to serve ANYONE!

Meet at Little River Cooperative
What:
Bus tour, starts at Little River Cooperative an 9am, bus leaves around 9:30, tours Redland & Homestead farms and nurseries, including Verde Farms, LNB Groves, PNS Farms, Ready-to-Grow Gardens, Scnelby's Winery and Miami Brewing Co., and possibly 1-2 others. Lunch will be at the Redlander, with a talk by chef Dewey, and local beer tasting presentation by Snail recipient, Jacob Lindsay.
Why:
To provide a fun chef-community events and hands-on education of our So. Florida farm scene- especially for our snail of approved chefs, and slow food chef candidates, helping to further bridge the gap between local farms and restaurants. Through the Chef Alliance initiative, this bus tour will kick off the season with a fun way to instill education, collaboration, community experience, and a way to bring together the primary figures that make farm-to-table happen in Miami. We thank you!
How:
Cost per person: $20pp
(Total cost per person is $52... Slow Food is covering $32 pp of total cost including various farm tour costs, part of lunch, and bus costs- $20 covers part of your lunch)
Other info:
Miami Brewing Company will offer a beer tasting flight of 4 beers for an optional additional $10 at a very reduced rate- Thanks Jacob! Bring a little cash if you want to try out the beers!)
