Coronado is the only play written by mystery writer Dennis Lehane (perhaps best known for the screenplays for Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, and Shutter Island). It is a modern-day Greek tragedy which follows three intertwining tales: a recently freed inmate and his father waging a lethal battle of wits while searching for a missing woman and a stolen diamond; a psychiatrist and his patient having an illicit affair; and a woman and her lover plotting the murder of the woman's husband. Set in a southwestern American town, Coronado is a thriller exploring the dark side of the human spirit and what one is willing to do for love, money and redemption.
