Premium Harvard Square Food Tour

The more Harvard Square changes, the more it remains the same. Join us as we explore the old and the new, including a few food institutions that remain as popular today as they were over 50 years ago. We'll also explore the new, including a restaurant about which all the local are a-buzzin', as well as a specialty shop that's, well, buzzing, too.

Our tour group meets at the Charles Hotel, where guests have the option of arriving early to enjoy a pre-tour drink at Henrietta's Table, the home of one of Boston's best brunches. And while you're there, check out its little shop. We think you'll enjoy browsing there, and maybe even making a purchase or two.

First stop is a popular tavern whose chef was recently voted a semi-finalist for Eater's "hottest" Boston chef. Sunday may be Chef's day off, but wait to see what he's prepared for us...all from scratch! We never know what they'll have in store for us at our next stop...could be raspberry beer, or rosemary fries, and maybe even apple fritters. Can't say the same of our next stop, where honey reigns supreme...oh, and bees, too! And how could we leave out Harvard Yard? One, two, three "cheese". You, too, John Harvard! If you want to know about our next stop, just ask Cambridge-bred Matt Damon. We hear that he knows all about this Harvard Square institution's former "chairs club". While we can't give away all of our surprises (that wouldn't be fun), we can tell you that we'll throw in a little bit of France and a little bit of Cuba before ending our tour at chef/owner Jody Adams' 4-star restaurant, Rialto, where we'll enjoy pastry chef Susan Abbott's marvelous desserts.
