Zocalo Night 2012: June 22 @ 6:00pm
Zocalo Night is Causa's annual fundraising event. Zocalo Night is on Friday, June 22 starting at 6:00pm at the Willamette Heritage Center in Salem.

Zocalo Night 2012 will feature Latin American musicians, folkloric dancers, and food stands from local restaurants.

Tickets are $25 for general admission, $15 for kids 12 and under. Each $25 ticket includes 8 "pesos" to purchase food from Zocalo vendors. Tickets are $35 at the door.

The Zocalo (Spanish pronunciation: sokalo) is the main plaza in the heart of the historic center of many cities across Latin America. It is a place for celebrations, ceremonies, food, dances, live music, and civic engagement.

Causa will create our own Zocalo at The Mill and put at the center of our community the stories of individuals who make sure that the American dream is also a reality. We will honor women and men who've played key roles in supporting Oregon's Latino community to reach the American Dream.
