Workshop on Money: It's all about "Money Honey"
Bet Alef Learning Institute under the auspices of Bet Alef Meditative Synagogue cordially invites you to this gathering of curious minds and open hearts.

Local religious and spiritual leaders will share how their faith-based organizations view the role of money in their communities.  

The workshop is based on the premise that even with recovery, the U.S. economy is not returning to the good old days of ever increasing home values, rapidly multiplying 401k assets and guaranteed upward mobility for all. The current political and economic systems are irrevocably broken.

Just Sustainable Economy - Host Presenters - John Repp,Cindy Cole and Sarah McElroy are founding members of Just Sustainable economy, a work group of the Fellowship of Reconciliation.

Our workshop will explore the creation of a New Economy and outline possible solutions to the changing financial situation we find ourselves in as individuals and as citizens.

Solutions to be explored:
  - Alternative currencies & printed notes
  - Mutual Currency exchanges
  - A publicly owned Washington Public Bank - HB 2434
    Washington Investment Trust (WIT)
  - Move our money from Big Banks to Credit Unions
