Spring, Sprang, Sprung! Full Moon Walks
Spring, Sprang, Sprung! Spring is on its way! Join Center staff, your neighbors, barred owls, mountain beavers and coyotes, to wave goodbye to winter and welcome spring-the season of love!
Participants will get a fascinating first-hand look at the park by moonlight and find out which creatures creep while we sleep as an experienced naturalist leads this fun and informative walk.
A great chance to learn about the nocturnal residents of Seward Park, the walk is enhanced by the magic and mystery of the wildlife of the park at twilight. You'll almost forget you're just blocks from the normal hustle and bustle of the town amongst the scenery of the magnificent old growth forest and our beautiful Lake Washington. On this guided walk, participants will listen for owls hooting and coyotes yipping, and learn about spiders, bats, mountain beavers, and other wildlife of the park.
A family friendly walk will leave the Center at 6PM, and an adults only walk will leave the Center at 7PM.
Tickets are $5/person. Space is limited, so purchase tickets in advance!
6PM Family Walk: This walk is suitable for people of all ages and is a great family outing (although it is not stroller friendly.)
7PM Adult Walk: This walk is a great opportunity for a date, girls night out, or just a fun learning experience for anyone ages 16 and up.
