Storytelling For Everyone
Personal narrative has exploded over the last several years, with new shows, slams, and podcasts surfacing daily.  People from all walks of life are taking the stage to share their own stories in front of packed houses across Chicago and the U.S. If you haven't participated yet, it's time to get in on the fun.

This course is open to all experience levels, and everyone from the novice to the seasoned storyteller will benefit from this work-on-your-feet approach to discovering and developing your own unique voice.

We will cover everything from story generation and writing to the fine details of performance. Each class session will also feature a lab component where participants can workshop stories, try out tools and techniques, and receive detailed feedback.

Class size will be kept to 6 to insure that participants receive a lot of individual attention and stage time.

Class schedule for this term:
Saturday, January 28, 10 AM - 1 PM
Saturday, February 4, 10 AM - 1 PM
Saturday, February 11, 10 AM - 1 PM
Saturday, February 18, 10 AM - 1 PM

Instructor Info:
Scott Whitehair is the producer and host of This Much Is True and creator of Story Lab Chicago, which was recently filmed for an upcoming documentary and television pilot. He has shared stories with Second Story, The Moth, Essay Fiesta, Write Club, Steppenwolf, Reading Under the Influence, Story Club, Windy City Story Slam, Ray's Tap, and The Skald, among others.
