a Play, a Pie and a Pint 2
Brilliantly casual theatre is served up alongside a pie (slice of pizza) and a pint (drink of choice) all for $15 (***see the special offer for a free PPP beer glass below). A new one-act play is presented each week in March on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30 - 7.30pm at The Red Room, Society Hill Playhouse. All the plays are comedy's.

March 6 & 7 - 'Being Norwegian' by David Greig, presented by Tiny Dynamite, featuring Kittson O'Neill and Kevin Bergen and directed by David O'Connor.

In this dark, funny encounter two outsiders reach out to each other across the deep fjords of the heart. "In Norway we're used to darkness in people's heads. We even prefer it. Because if there is no darkness, then what in heaven's name are you thinking about? We Norwegians think people who are happy are perhaps just a little bit above themselves, don't you?"

March 13 & 14 - 'End of hope' by David Ireland, Presented by Inis Nua Theatre Company.

Two strangers meet over the internet for an evening of casual sex in Belfast.  Alan is a student and Janet works at Tesco.  Politically and culturally  opposites, they've nothing in common except their desire for love and fear of intimacy. So how will they get through the night?

March 20 & 21 - 'Restaurant Shorts' - short plays by David Ives, David Auburn and Jacqueline Goldfinger, presented by Tiny Dynamite, featuring Adam Altman, Tom Tansey and Miriam White and directed by Emma Gibson.

A delicious fusion of spicy, aromatic appetizer plays:

Sure Thing by David Ives
The Waiter by Jacqueline Goldfinger
Are you Ready? By David Auburn
Serial Bride by Jacqueline Goldfinger
The Philadelphia by David Ives

March 27 & 28 - 'Buridan's Ass' by S. R. Plant, presented by Iron Age Theatre Company and directed by John Doyle.

Ever since an aquarium explosion forced him to choose between running to the aid of his stricken girlfriend and saving the life of a floundering turbot, Mahone the taxidermist has suffered from Buridan's Ass Syndrome - a fear of making decisions.
