Crema Unplugged Concert New Year's Celebration
Come and Celebrate at Crema Restaurante, New York City's top destination for cutting edge Mexican fusion cuisine, is proud to announce the Crema Unplugged Concert Series, a musical movement that promotes local singers and composers on a multicultural platform hosted by Celebrity Journalist, Carlos Anaya, known as the Latino Ryan Seacrest.
The first in a series of concerts - honoring local talent and the beginning of a trend that serves to unite the community through wholesome music and food - will begin on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2011. Flamenco/Pop Musicians Axel Santiago and Kanutto Garabatto will each perform acoustic sets to bring in the new year. This will be a landmark event, marking the first ever live music show at the venue.
Crema Restaurante was recently recognized as the top Mexican restaurant in New York by CitySearch and Open Table. This chic eatery offers traditional food from all regions of Mexico, topped off with a beautiful, refined French presentation. The restaurant's Celebrity Chef Julieta Ballesteros, who appeared in the hit Food Network show Iron Chef, was also recently honored by Zagat for her trendsetting food and ability to add flare to every delectable dish.
Those joining Crema to bring in the new year are in for a treat. Chef Ballesteros will channel iconic artist Frida Kahlo to prepare an exclusive, alternate menu for the event. Expect a number of fresh, innovative and never seen before delicacies created with an Asian twist, including Tuna Noodles, Kobe Beef Tarare, Lo Mein Con Mole, Prime Rib-eye and vegetarian options. The night will also feature champagne, party favors and more surprises. The acoustic entertainment kicks off right after midnight.
The countdown starts at 9 p.m. with Crema New Year gift bags, a three-course dinner and champagne for only $125 per person online. Dinner is served between 9:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The New Year's Celebration and Crema Unplugged Concert features live performances by Flamenco/Pop Artists Axel Santiago and Kanutto Garabatto and an open bar from 11:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. Hors d'oeuvres all night. $125 admission per person online, gets attendees into both dinner and the show. Guests are welcome to stop by at any time during the festivities.
