An Evening of New Works from Words of Choice
'Words of Choice' presents new, unexplored, fascinating and wildly diverse material selection from a wide range of submissions by poets, playwrights, spoken word artists, journalists, authors and bloggers from across the country.

In the reading, actors under the direction of Francesca Mantani Arkus present 90 minutes of original material about sex, contraception, abortion, women's liberty, politics and activism.

This exploration of new material coincides with the release of the 'Words of Choice' DVD, an adaptation of our touring pro-choice theater performance. In the theater performance and DVD, three actors perform works by a dozen writers that highlight the broad panorama of reproductive freedom and how the lives of real women and men are affected by these hot-button topics in political news. The goal is to open new conversations about choice, utilizing the magic of theater and the arts.
