Moveable Feast
The Moveable Feast will be a unique downtown Berkeley walking tour visiting three model sustainable restaurants located within a three block radius, in a city some consider the epicenter for the US food movement.
We'll dine at Gather Restaurant, Revival Bar + Kitchen and Five Restaurant. Indulge in a locally sourced, organic and relaxed meal while learning about Slow Money, Slow Food, local farms and food sources. Enjoy an opportunity to leisurely network (feel free to sit next to a new person at each stop!), while enjoying presentations by award-winning restaurant owners and chefs.
Mark Pasternak, farmer & owner of Devil's Gulch Ranch in Marin, will speak about family farming, producing for restaurants, and sustainable educational programs.
Devil's Gulch Ranch, a diversified family farm located in Nicasio, Marin County, within California's North Coast region, produces rabbits, pigs, sheep, premium wine grapes and and asparagus. Sustainable, humane agricultural practices and organic farming are utilized whenever possible. Mark Pasternak and Myriam Kaplan-Pasternak, DVM, owners of the ranch since 1971, also offer agriculture and nature educational programs locally and internationally in Haiti where they work to import coffee to the US.
