Come Dine & Experience A Concert In The Pitch Dark!
The Austin Blind Cafe, is a mind bending / heart opening experience where the audience will dine, participate in a Q & A with their blind wait staff and enjoy a concert of original music by Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken...all in the pitch dark!
A delicious vegetarian* meal will be prepared with love to delight your senses by Austin's own Chef Brian Henderson and our lovely volunteers. Your heart and mind will be opened as you celebrate and explore spacial awareness & the darkness with your host Richie Flores while indulging in 'unencumbered music listening' without the distraction of visual conditioning, social etiquette & your cell phones!
This is NOT just a another dinner in the dark...it's a community experience where people connect, learn and grow from working together to participate in something greater than themselves. The Austin Blind Cafe is designed to help you feel more alive, awake, present and connected to your world.
With the love and laughter of those at your table you will share your dinner family-style, building friendship and community on a night you will never forget or SEE! A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The BELL Program, a two week educational workshop for blind kids to learn braille and other life skills.

GENERAL ADMISSION: $45.00 - $95.00 Sliding Scale In order for us to continue our work, flourish and grow in a sustainable way as an organization, we need the majority of you to purchase tickets at the suggested cost of $55.00.
Please pay what you can afford as we actually discount a 3rd of our tickets (see below) to people who otherwise could not attend. So by paying the suggested price or more, you are actually helping us to get others to this event who otherwise could not come.

*The meal will be completely gluten-free and dairy-free except the bread will have gluten. Sorry we can not accommodate gluten- free bread at this time but you are welcome to bring some.
