Stick Guns
Sticks, GI Josephs, and a rusty bicycle all have starring roles in this surreal fable of power, firepower and back yard play. Stick Guns was voted "BEST ORIGINAL THEATRE" for 2003 by both the Gazette and the Independent. In this dark satire Jim Jackson looks back on his small town childhood, lived within the shadow of the state maximum security prison. Using a few simple props - a stick, some dirt, broken toys and a rusty bicycle, he weavers tales of power, firepower, escape and backyard play. Striking imagery, dynamic physicality and poignant comedy mark this home grown story as timely and timeless theatre. Adult Audiences.
