Mollys Revenge, 2nd Saturday Community Celtic Concert
David Brewers last show before he moves to the East Coast!

Molly's Revenge, http://mollysrevenge.com/ will present a lively performance of Irish and Scottish music at the 2nd Saturday Community Celtic Concerts Off The Commons in Tualatin, Oregon on January 14 at 7:30 pm. They will be joined by guest vocalist Colleen Raney and champion Scottish fiddler Rebecca Lomnicky.

Molly's Revenge is a dynamic, acoustic Celtic band known for its unique and infectious enthusiasm. The classic combination of bagpipes, whistle, and fiddle is set against a backdrop of guitar, bodhrán, and
mandola accompaniment, which guarantees an enjoyable experience for all fans of Scottish and Irish music. Their arrangements of traditional jigs and reels bring these dance tunes up to date with a driving, hard-edged accent that always leaves audiences shouting for more. Molly's Revenge has performed at many of the top folk festivals and performing arts events in the USA, and prestigious events in Australia, Scotland, and China.

Colleen Raney is among the best young Celtic singers of her generation, inspired by the Irish and Scottish songs and tunes that she grew up with as a member of the multi-talented Raney family and alongside the world renowned harp and dulcimer duo Magical Strings. Through her gorgeous voice, her deft arrangements, and her sidemen, Colleen breathes new life into the old songs, bringing out new facets
to the music that haven't been heard before.

Scottish fiddler Rebecca Lomnicky started violin at the age of five, and soon after found her calling. By 2005, she had won the Junior Division of the U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Competition, which was
judged by three judges including Bonnie Rideout, and a year later released her first solo album, "The Call", which met great praise from Dirty Linen Magazine. In 2009, Rebecca won the Glenfiddich
International Scottish Fiddle Championship at Blair Castle in Scotland. She was the only non-Scot, and the youngest person to have ever won the championship. Rebecca has been invited to play at Scottish festivals and gatherings throughout the United States and has performed with many notable players.
