"Little Utopia" and Other Dances
It Must Have Been Violet Dance Productions choreographers Susan Haines, Talani Torres, and Carol Finley will present collected works including Finley's "Fantasia on Break-Ups," Torres' "Traces," and a new work by Haines. The Carol Finley Dance Group will also perform Finley's new suite, "Little Utopia" which includes revised versions of "Kitchen Stories" and "Settling" to complete the concert.
Finley's signature theatricality combined with athletic physicality and humor marks each of her works. Torres' solo for Amy Beasley and Haines' new duet both employ evocative video projection.
