RLTour 2015 Somerville -- The Lion & The Clown: A Rumi Lovesong for Beauty & the Beast
Real Live Theatre presents our original show "The Lion & The Clown: A Rumi Lovesong for Beauty & the Beast" at the Davis Square Theater as we make our way around the Northeast this fall.
Tickets are $15 (online or at the door). Shows are 2pm & 9:30pm Saturday, December 5th. 9:30pm show is 21+ (the venue has a bar).
Follow Sarah (cursed into a lioness) and Faerie (the one who cursed her) as they entangle themselves in the life of a modern American down-on-its-luck circus (a Clown, a Juggler, a Wire Walker, a Ringmaster Lion-Tamer, and the Porter). Experience poetry, obscenity, and magic. Witness the power of choice and the redemptive force of love.
Written and directed by Ellen Morbyrne, original music composed and performed by Cynthia Zaitz, PhD. Amazing ensemble of actors: Toby Vera Bercovici, Rachel Hall, Kate Hare, Trenda Loftin, Dan Morbyrne, Alberto Carlos Peart, Michael Pray.
