Emily Dykstra & Cathy Sims Workshop: 20th Annual Women of Wisdom Conference
Here I Am ~ A Fiber Art Journey to the Heart
Explore the layers of your life through fiber as you fuse together layers of fabric, yarn, found objects and mementos to build a vibrant expression of your heart's desires and your true self. With fiber materials, paint and words we will explore our past, present and future. Using fabric allows for a tactile experience as we rip, shred, and cherish the precious. You will bring home with you not only a work of art, but also a deeper understanding of who you are in this world. You can bring little mementos, tiny found objects, or personal fabric to add to the fabric, paint and design elements provided. $7 material fee.
Emily Dykstra is a fiber artist, committed to helping people access their creativity. She also has nearly two decades of experience empowering people to enhance their lives through social service. Together they meld song, paint, fiber and coaching into a medium that impacts the soul. Cathy & Emily's dynamic energy and enthusiastic support help their students explore new means of self expression and unleash their lives!
Cathy Sims is a life coach on a mission to help people transform their lives. She is a visual & performance artist with a background in social services, and graphic design.

This event has WOW member and non member prices. You can become a member of Women of Wisdom at the website: www.womenofwisdom.org. There are also special prices for teens, seniors, and students.

It will be helpful if you study the conference events there first, and be ready to register your selections at Brown Paper Tickets. All workshops are at North Seattle Community College and parking is free. Special evening events are held at Seattle First Baptist Church.
Men are invited to attend the evening events - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Feb. 16th-18th, and workshops on Sunday, Feb. 20th from 7:00 - 10:00pm. All other events are women only.
Registration will be available on site during the conference. Many workshops will still have space available, and evening events will have tickets available at the door. If any events are sold out we will list that here, or on voice mail, 206-782-3363. It's best to come to the conference and find out what's available.
