Barbara Higbie at Regale
Make plans to be amazed by the musical mastery of Barbara Higbie and special guest Patrick Mullane in a one night only performance on Saturday November 12th. Doors open at 5:30 and the show starts at 6PM - Show will be held in the upstairs mural room, and there will be limited seating available. Food and wine will be available for purchase.
Higbie is a high priestess of collaboration. She has played with musicians as different as Bonnie Raitt, Kronos Quartet, Milton Nascimento and Spyro Gyra, and has performed on more than 65 albums, including her solo efforts "Signs of Life," "I Surrender," "Variations on a Happy Ending" and "Live in Berkeley"; duo albums with violinist Darol Anger and singer/multi-instrumentalist Teresa Trull; and Carlos Santana's 2007 "Multi-Dimensional Warrior."
The Grammy-nominated, Bammy Award-winning pianist, composer, violinist, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has made her home in the Bay Area for more than 25 years and also was a cofounder, with Darol Anger, of the acoustic super group, "Montreux", she recorded " Live at the Montreux Jazz Festival" for Windham Hill Records in 1984, a landmark genre defining album. She continued to tour world-wide with Montreux, until leaving to pursue a solo career.
