Graydancer Presents: ROPECRAFT!
FEBRUARY 19-21, 2016 in AUSTIN, TEXAS!
We created ROPECRAFT to be a convention where the beginner and the artist can share space that isn't focused on a particular flavor of rope bondage, or a specific role, or a specific product. At ROPECRAFT there will be a wide spectrum of techniques, intentions, and skill levels. You'll find internationally renowned performers and bedroom players and Western fusion and Kinbaku. There will be people who have raised their craft to the level of art tying right along with those who don't give a damn how you tie them as long as you tie them tight and tie them now.
This is also the con to attend if you really don't understand what the big deal is about rope is, or think it "takes too long," or is too complicated. It is the con for people wanting to improve basic skills and people working on the really fancy stuff. It's the place where you can meet and learn from some of the best rope enthusiasts in the world.
ROPECRAFT IS PLAY
We will have THREE NIGHTS of SEX-POSITIVE play space RIGHT IN THE HOTEL (there, did we get your attention?). We're partnering with the amazing people at Bondage Expo Dallas and Bonds of Steel to bring you rock-solid suspension frames, tripods, crosses, benches, and a few surprises, too: BoS is creating equipment that will be premiering at ROPECRAFT. That means you can be among the first to use it! There will also be all-day access to a practice room in addition to the Ropenspace Sunday afternoon. We're also making sure that there is plenty of room for floorwork, self-suspension, or even non-rope play if that's what you're looking for.

To give you an idea of the quality of this con, we are happy to announce our Guests of Honor, Midori and Sir Dart, to head up our roster of instructors. You can meet them all at our Friday night catered meet-and-greet (do not go out to dinner first, you will be sorry) before we kick off the first party.
Saturday night will be a wonderful dinner catered by the hotel (we are splitting the cost with you and charging $15.00/person for a $30.00 dinner) during which you can watch the first-ever IRON ROPE competition (think Iron Chef meets Ninja Warrior, but with rope bondage). After dinner we'll be opening up half the 8500 square foot dungeon for "the Bondage Games," leaving the other half open for people who just want to get their kink on. This play space will be fully-equipped with BED frames, mats and Bonds of Steel equipment (not just hard points, all the kinky stuff you love to play on). All this will be available through 2 AM.
All day long Saturday and through the morning Sunday we'll have classes taught by world-class educators and passionate presenters on the topics they love. Floorwork, fetish, suspension, solo tying, historical re-enactment, predicaments, multi-person marathon televised spectacles - everybody's welcome at ROPECRAFT.
Sunday afternoon there will be a Ropenspace: a facilitated self-organizing peer education run on Open Space Technology with all the ROPECRAFT instructors in attendance. That leads right into the closing ceremony hosted by Psychokitty, more yummy refreshments and another party - this one going til MIDNIGHT Sunday.

Tickets will go on sale August 1st, 2015 for the advance purchase price of $129.99. They will go up to $149.99 on November 1 and at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve they will be $179.99. That's three nights of parties in arguably one of the finest dungeons in the world - great instructors - passionat kinksters - Ropenspace - GREAT food - all in a warm place in winter.
