Printz Dance Project: Hover Space
Printz Dance Project takes on their largest project to date with Hover Space. The "hover space" is the middle ground, between the extremes, in the juicy, rich spaces where life really happens. This is the space where risk, action, fear, thrive - ultimately, it is the place where love lingers.
Stacey's vision for a floating stage space to represent this middle ground led to a collaboration with designer/engineer Sean Riley on what has been dubbed the "Hover Floor", a large stage space suspended from the ceiling of the theater. This stage can raise, lower and tilt, affording dancers multiples planes to dance on and new ways to execute movement.
