Full Contact Theater Company's TITUS ANDRONICUS
"O brother, help me with thy fainting hand... "
As we all settle down for an extended period of wintry chill and darkness, come join us for a tale of brotherhood, love, loyalty, fear, and brutal bloodshed! Titus Andronicus is the grisly story of a feud between the Roman general Titus Andronicus and Tamora, Queen of the Goths. Titus returns from a decades-long campaign on the Roman frontier bearing Goth prisoners, and the subsequent sacrifice of Tamora's eldest child by Titus' sons begins a long, twisted chain of revenge and destruction that leads the two parents to an ultimate demise.
However, the Rome that Shakespeare leads us into is quite unlike the Rome of Julius Caesar or Coriolanus. Titus's Rome is surrounded on all sides by the wildness of its enemies, and it's tainted within by corruption: a place where violent rituals and brutal punishment replace the rule of law.
You have six chances to follow us into this wild, mysterious place and witness our story:

Q&A
Question: |
How graphic is the violence? I have to figure out whether it's First Date Material or 12 Year Old Daughter material or drinking buddy material...But I definitely need TWO of the best Tickets for Thursday the 17th. Thanks, Jay Grimes grimesjay@aol.com |
Answer: |
While blood is featured in the design of our show, none of the deaths involve graphic blood use or outrageous violence. It may be suitable for a 12 year old depending on the maturity of the child, but we definitely recommend it for a first date. |
