2015 AIWF & SUW Present: Taste of the City
Join us for the Second Annual Seattle Urban Wineries: Taste of the City, a celebration marking the last days of summer before the hard work of harvest begins.  Meet the winemakers who in weeks will be transforming the bounty of the countryside in their wineries here in the city.  The event will be at South Seattle College's Northwest Wine Academy, the first teaching winery in the Puget Sound region.

This event is brought to by The American Institute of Wine & Food is a national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the understanding, appreciation and quality of wine and food through fun educational experiences in support of Scholarship programs. All funds raised by AIWF go to scholarships for culinary and Enology students.

The Northwest Wine Academy was established in 2004 as the first and only working and teaching winery of its kind in Western Washington. Classes are designed for students just starting out in the wine industry, professionals who need to enhance their skills and knowledge of current trends, and enthusiasts who want to deepen their knowledge of wine.

Seattle Urban Wineries is a group of over 25 award winning artisan wineries in the city. We invite visitors and locals alike to taste some of the finest hand crafted wines produced in the state, all within blocks of downtown Seattle. The Seattle Urban Wineries offer both novices and aficionados the opportunity to learn about and taste wines of many different varietals and styles crafted from Washington's best vineyards.

AIWF is a 501-c 3 non profit organization founded in 1981 by Julia Child, Robert Mondavi and Richard Graff.
