Event
Life Without Buildings
As this year's festival draws to a close, Wunderbar launches Life Without Buildings with a bicycle ride across Newcastle. Life without building is a project a project that will culminate in a radical structural intervention to a building or building site for the Wunderbar Festival 2013.
Architecture is informed by, and informs, the way people move through space. From wide-spread regeneration schemes, to self-build community projects and protest marches to choreographed performance.
Through a series of live performance, sculptural interventions and collective actions, Life Without Buildings will explore the ethics and possibilities of human movement and action to affect the architecture of our cities.
As they begin their journey towards 2013, Nicola and Tim invite you to join them on a bicycle ride across Newcastle, taking in sites of structural interest across the city. Join us in a spectacle that celebrates the landscape which surrounds us and of our means to effect change.
Meet at St James Church, Corner of Benwell Lane & Condercum Road, Newcastle to begin the ride, or for non-riders meet at the Byker/Ouseburn Regeneration Centre, Spillars Quay, Ouseburn, Newcastle for the finale celebration.
