Six Characters in Search of an Author
For it's first production in the new AVC Performing Arts Theatre, the Theatre Arts Department has chosen Robert Brustein's newly updated version of the 20th century Nobel Prize winning play. The performance opens with a group of actors rehearsing their next show. They are interrupted by six strangers claiming to be fictitious creations of a careless author, who nonetheless insist that they are real. This classic work blurs the lines between reality and fantasy to explores how life is like theatre and theatre is like life.
