The Rocky Horror Show is a long-running British horror comedy stage musical, which opened in London on 19 June 1973. It was written by English-born New Zealander Richard O'Brien, and developed by O'Brien in collaboration with Australian theater director Jim Sharman. It came eighth in a BBC Radio 2 listener poll of the "Nation's Number One Essential Musicals".

The musical was adapted as the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a cult film and the longest-running theatrical release in film history.

Question: How old do you have to be to get in?
Answer: There are no age restrictions, although there is some adult content. This show is recommended for ages 16 and older.

Question: can we dress in character for the performances and are we allowed to bring props(ex:water pistols,rice, toast? Thanks
Answer: YES! Yes to all. Highly encouraged!!
 
Question: Is the the movie with people acting in front of the screen?
Answer: No. This is the live stage musical version with actors singing live, on stage, with sets and everything. The movie was based on this stage musical. Audience participation is still encouraged (throwing rice etc.).
