Restoration
After his long-time business partner Max dies, furniture restorer Yaakov Fidelman learns that their workshop is in dire financial straits. Complicating matters, Max bequeathed his half to Yaakov's estranged and ambitious attorney son. When an antique Steinway is discovered in a dark corner of the workshop there is a glimmer of hope for the old man to hold on to the quiet, reclusive existence where he finds solace if it can be fully restored. With beautiful cinematography and musical score, this artfully crafted and compassionate character study won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award, Dramatic at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, the Grand Prix at the Karlovy Film Festival and was nominated for 11 Israeli Academy Awards.
