Jews and Baseball: An American Love Story
Love of baseball, the quintessential American national pastime, has always symbolized a passage into the American mainstream, especially for Jews. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning sportswriter Ira Berkow, narrated by Dustin Hoffman and directed by Peter Miller, this documentary film celebrates not only the pivotal role that Jews have played in the development of baseball but also the importance that the sport has had in the lives of many famous Jewish personalities. Compelling interviews with major league legends, including Sandy Koufax and Shawn Green, and rare baseball footage make this film a home-run hit.
