Little Shop of Horrors
The Drama Center of City Arts and their teen theatre, the Livestock Players will present the campy musical classic, Little Shop of Horrors by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast) and Howard Ashman.
Seymour loves Audrey, but she's dating a semi-sadist motorcycle dentist. When a strange plant falls in Seymour's lap, his life is about to change. This alien Venus flytrap and its thirst for human blood give Seymour the opportunity for fame fortune and love. Originally a 1960 dark comedy film by Roger Corman, it was restructured as a musical for an off-Broadway run in 1982 and later a Hollywood film directed by Frank Oz in 1986. It has been an audience favorite since for its campy style and wink at 1960's nostalgia.
