Urban Ecology & Native Tree Species in the Urban Landscape
Kat Hall, of The Lands Council, will lead this workshop at the Finch Arboretum and discuss ecosystems in urban environments. Trees are often the canopy linking open space, park ecology and residential ecology which provide many benefits to people and wildlife.  Kat will discuss native tree species: the dos & don'ts of planting them in our urban environment and how different species have specific needs and requirements making them appropriate for some sites and not for others. And, as an added bonus, the Fall Leaf Festival will be getting under way at Finch Arboretum just as the workshop wraps up! Space is limited to 25.
