Description
Keynote speaker Dr. David Suzuki, world renown sustainability guru, kicks off this 2-day event to take stock of sustainability progress in the Pacific Northwest.  A highly regarded author and TV personality, his scientific knowledge and ability to communicate with diverse audiences has earned him international acclaim.

Dr. Suzuki speaks Friday night, October 26 at Town Hall on "Sustainability within a Generation," a document produced by the Suzuki Foundation in Canada. Adopting the policy recommendations outlined in the report could safeguard our natural legacy for future generations and improve our quality of life.

CASCADIA CONVERGENCE continues on Saturday, October 27, 9 AM at Seattle Center, brought to you by Sustainable Cascadia, <www.SustainableCascadia.org>

October 27 offers a full day of discussions at the Seattle Center to reflect upon the Suzuki Foundation's framework as it applies to our region.  Particular attention will be given to this year's theme: Climate Action and Citizen Engagement.  Attend this community-wide gathering of concerned citizens, businesses, community groups, non-profits and civic leaders to learn about current progress toward sustainability and to make plans for concerted action to accelerate progress over a 5-year timeframe.  Suggested Donation for SAT workshops: $10
