Six Days
San Jose Jewish Film Festival San Jose, CA
Directed by Israeli expatriate Ilan Ziv, this documentary uses archival footage, interviews with surviving politicians and military leaders, and narrative commentary to trace the immediate origins and progress of the Six Day War of June 1967. That war, of course, forever transformed Middle Eastern history and allowed for the reunification of Jerusalem for the first time since the formation of the State of Israel. By all accounts, this informative film is even-handed in its approach.
