Altar Call
Limited Engagement: 6 performances only on Friday and Saturdays. Two matinees included.
Opening Night: Friday, October 9th at 6:30 PM.  All performances at Broad St. Ministry: 315 S. Broad St. Philadelphia.

ALTAR CALL has been produced twice in Illinois to much acclaim. The Quad City Times reviewer called the premiere "a must see" and other reviewers declared it a "volatile mix of sexuality, religion and social structures," "thrilling to behold" "passionate and persuasive!" Maggie Stone, a minister's daughter, is trapped in a labyrinth of conflicting loyalties. The new church musician captivates Maggie's teenage son.  Maggie's mother prioritizes church, family, and propriety above all else and urges Maggie to do the same. Maggie's father resists demands by his congregation to stigmatize homosexual Christians, as he fears his grandson's growing involvement with his church employee. And Maggie's husband demands that she quit graduate school and get a real job. "I don't need a feminist. I need a wife!"

A stellar cast of Philadelphia actors: Julia Wise, Susan Mattson, Russ Walsh, Gil Johnson, Don Gimpel and special guest appearances by Peter Andrew Danzig and Andy Joos of Actors Equity Association. Produced by Random Acts of Theatre. Directed by William Andrew Robinson. Written by Melissa McBain, Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors, industry, and full-time students.
Running time: 100 minutes. NO LATE SEATING and dress warmly. Although some of the scenes are hot, the room is chilly. Enter Broad St. Ministry by using NORTH DOOR facing Broad St.
