Tony Campolo Public Lecture

On October 24, 2007, 7:30 p.m. the Church Council of Greater Seattle welcomes Tony Campolo, internationally prominent evangelical speaker and activist for a public lecture.  Campolo's rare Seattle appearance is a fundraiser for the Council's ecumenical social justice activities. Anthony "Tony" Campolo (born 1935) is a well-known American pastor, author, public speaker known for challenging Christians by illustrating how their faith can offer solutions in a world of complexity. With his progressive political and social attitudes, he has been a major proponent for reform in the evangelical community. He has become a leader of the Evangelical Left and has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS and many other media outlets, including Comedy Central's Colbert Report
