The dazzlingly delightful, toe-tapping, Tony-winning 1930's musical extravaganza with a memorable score by Cole Porter.
Love-lorn Wall Street broker Billy Crocker, whose heiress heart-throb is about to be married to a rich but goofy Englishman, stows away on an ocean liner bound for London from New York to try to waylay the wedding. There he joins forces with an underachieving gangster and his daffy moll, and bumps into an old pal, sexy night club chanteuse-turned-evangelist Reno Sweeney and her devilishly divine chorus of back-up Angels. Add a boatful of Porter's most enduringly tuneful songs, (including You're the Top, Friendship, I Get a Kick Out of You, and Anything Goes), a deckful of tap-dancing passengers, and you've got a foolproof formula for frolicsome frivolity.
